MeFi's own jpburns made a 60-page comic about his cancer diagnosis and treatment. It's on Amazon ($3), but you can get a free copy by signing up at malecare.org. jpburns has lots of other comics too! [via mefi projects]
This is amazing! Thank you
But most of all, I’m sorry about the painful and frightening truth of your diagnosis. I hope you get to deal with this in the way that works best for you and your family, and I wish you peace.

My dearest friend is experiencing this now. Thanks for sharing this; I hope to gain some insight into what he is going through.

There's something about the viscerality of some illnesses that make them seem like the Graphic Novel is the right way to explore them. I have been toying with a comic for my tumor experience since the day I woke up from surgery.
I wish you, JPB, the best, and thank you for posting, JH.

Damn, I had my prostate MRI images onscreen not fifteen minutes ago.
