Weird. Today the Mehedju Project had an online presentation “Model Behaviour - ancient Egyptian wooden funerary models study afternoon” but I had to miss it for a friend’s birthday celebration. Thanks for posting this!

I’ll be in Luxor and Cairo at the new year so I’ve been devouring any resources I can. Kent Weeks illustrated books for a lay audience are quite good in hand, since guides are not permitted in tombs, along with the digital Theban Mapping Project (Wikipedia). What are other favorite resources, quirky facts, etc for deep dives into any part of Egypt’s million(s) of years of history? Does anyone have resources for lay understanding of Egyptian books of the dead?
