Footprints suggest two types of ancient human relatives walked side by side 1.5 million years ago. Newly discovered fossil footprints indicate two different ancient human relatives walked upright around a muddy lake in Kenya.
Worrying about what their parents would say no doubt.

This isn't necessarily groundbreaking because, as the article notes, Homo and Paranthropus have long been considered to co-exist, operating in different ecological niches. Always good to get confirmation though, and more data on hominin feet is always welcome.
