Comedian Rip Taylor on quiz show

Rip Taylor rips off his toupee in frustration after Patty Duke makes a blunder in the game, Super Password. I love this kind of silly humor, and Mr. Taylor was a master at it. As an aside, Bert Convy created the role of Cliff Bradshaw in the original Broadway production of the musical Cabaret, in 1966. He had a wonderful singing voice.
Mod note: Post edited to fix an awkward line break. The sentence beginning with"As an aside…" was oddly split, generating an unnecessary "more inside" break.

In the mid-1950s he worked the strip clubs all along the Eastern coast of the U.S. Although much of his material included jokes stolen from acts he saw in USO shows, his first signature piece would be to pretend to cry while begging the audience for laughs.

LOVE THIS. Rip Taylor was so...exuberant and silly! People couldn't help themselves from laughing and being entertained whenever he appeared.

"Ladies and gentlemen the Satellite of Love, in association with George Slaughter Productions, presents, in the world premiere of their new line of Attack of the Eye Creature gags, The Rip Taylor Trio!"
I think they said George Schlatter Productions, the production company of the guy behind Laugh-In.

I love when they say he looks good without it and he says “there goes 13 bucks shot”.
