While there are secret blacklight Canada Geese (and even a secret Maid of the Mist) on the Canadian passport, there are no secret blacklight beavers. And that's a shame.

They are neurotic capybaras. That is all.

Highly recommend Eager, by Ben Goldfarb as a fascinating peon to the beaver. It will turn you into a beaver believer if you aren’t when you start the book.

I always liked the Canadian Nickel, with a beaver on the reverse. Penny has maple leaves, dime has a boat -- the nickel, an industrious mammal.

Yeah, the UV trick always blows people's minds when they first see it.

The ponds at Bluffer's Park are still frozen, so I didn't expect to see any beavers at the dam this morning. There were a couple of freshly-stripped sticks on top of the dam, though, so they have been active.
