It puts immediate personal problems in perspective which is strangely uplifting. I wonder if finding happiness in the worlds destruction a common experience.

I like the 'scrunch, scrunch'. It appears that at some future date, I will be facing my immenent demise in the form of my PC, wearing a "Kiss The Cook" apron, and holding a bottle of A-1.
Hey, it is better than a plane crash, or something.

Good read. I was surprised that they even included some of the possible effects of subatomic experiments.

My money is on Quantum Vacuum Collapse. Hundreds of children every year are dying of it already, and just the other day, it keyed my car.

One day soon, we may create a true Super Crop that is utterly resistant to disease and pollution, and is able to grow in literally every environment. A crop like that might take over the countryside in no time – and start haunting us....No deterrent will kill it, no climate will stop it...It could be soy, or maize, or rice. Or raspberries, tomatoes, cucumber or lychees -- whatever.

I, for one, welcome our new cucumber overlords.
