What radio.garden did for radio, tv.garden is doing for... yes, tv. That is: Freely stream live tv stations from around the world!
This is one of the most amazing things I've seen on the internet in a very long time -- it feels much closer to the spirit of the internet I once knew

Nigeria's LoveWorld Arabic is playing an African-American televangelist with a halting Arabic voice-over.
I could spend 24 fucking hours watching this.

Havana’s Prensa Latina had an ad for a restaurant and all you could see was the giant bottle of Habana Club in the bartender’s hand :)

My time has come! My time to whine! I used to have radio.garden on all the time, but these days, in the UK, it only says "Stations outside the UK unavailable" if I try to stray to the mainland.
So my message to fellow ukists is: watch, drink* and be merry, and ask not for whom the banhammer hammers; it hammers for thee (eventually).
* please drink responsibly

This is fantastic! I do love watching TV a bit when I am overseas. This gives me the chance to focus on things such as the languages I am trying to learn. Thank you for this fantastic post!

This is nice for hearing the languages, but this project suffers from the same problem that the radio project has: in many parts of the world, it's just news, preachers, and shopping. The Soviet cartoons are a great find though! thanks, pyramid termite and thecaddy.
I watched some of the Greenland dog race on one of the two streams from Greenland!
