Never thought I'd say this, but I think I'd vote Republican if I lived in her district -- what a wench.

It's not so much that Matt Drudge's yelping about something guarantees an FPP on MetaFilter, it's the unaccountable delay from drudgereport.com to metafilter.com...?

Al Gore was the first to make hay out of Willie Horton. Fitting that another Democrat decides to run a "disarm the blacks" ad.

Oh please.! Al Gore never showed a disheveled Willie Horton looking like White Suburbia's Worst Nightmare in an TV ad. In fact, he never mentioned Horton in the midst of a campaign. He instead only mentioned, during a debate, the Mass. furlough program referenced in the notorious Bush ads (which were soft money party ads, and not Bush ads per se, if I remember correctly).

Now, now, raysmj, you're not trying to actually reason with our favorite FreeperFilterian, are you? Talk about the Myth of Sisyphus...

yes, raysmj. Stop distracting us with facts.

In a similar vein, were these ads better, worse, or no different than using pictures of
Osama bin Laden
in political ads?

I'm glad to see Willie Horton come back. He was a hell of a player. Now I'd just like to see the return of Norm Cash.
