Slippery football players. Probably not a new way to avoid getting tackled, but an interesting use of technology nonetheless. It certainly didn't help them win. And who's gonna wash those uniforms, hmm? [OK, I haven't posted in a while, so forgive the formatting gaffes...]

Do those Montana Grizzlies kick ass, or what?

Dunno about slippery stuff, but sticky stuff...there used to be this Oakland Raiders tight end, Fred Biletnikoff, who was renowned (or maybe just notorious) throughout the NFL as "Mr. Stickum" because he'd slather adhesive goop on his forearms to help him catch the ball.

They're not just gonna let this slide, are they?
sorry, couldn't resist.

"I have no knowledge of Sacramento State players using PAM."

Which coed is that?

This is really old news! Fox ran a special on it a long time ago, but I forgot the name of it. Some NFL player was exposing the tricks of the trade, one that hasn't been mentioned yet was getting a hardened cast when there was no injury so he could hit people harder.

alumshubby: I've always known that story to be about Lester Hayes, also an Oakland Raider, but on the defensive side of the ball (CB or Safety I believe).

Upon investigation, I see that both guys were apparently famous for it.

Is there anything Pam does that couldn't be accomplished by WD40 or used Amolube?

jfuller: You obviously don't know the same Pam that I do.
