The History of the Shuar. The Jivaro are one of the few native clans in South America who successfully revolted against the Spanish Conquest, but they're more famous for their shrunken heads- this site not only has the history, but also a pretty fascinating gallery. Of course, if you're just interested in the shrunken heads, Doc Bwana's Museum of Shrunken Heads will most certainly meet your shrunken-head viewing needs. (Probably safe for work, but I wouldn't read it while eating lunch.)

Anyone else find it slightly disturbing that the music on the second link is 'Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy' from The Nutcracker Suite? Heh.

Oh jeez, I had my sound turned off, I had no idea there was music on the page. But, now that I do know... that's just creepy and wrong.

A photo of this little head once appeared on boxes of Kellogg's Frosted Flakes but was soon replaced by the better-known image of Tony the Tiger.
(from the second link)

I googled, and couldn't confirm or deny this. But imagine the shrunken head in question were the mascot of frosted flakes...

"They're grrrrrrrrrrrrreat!"
