Ain't It Uncool News? Seems like all the film scoopers want to start scooping all over Harry Knowles, Austinite poster boy and all-around huge self-promotion machine. And it ain't about money, it's about credit and credentials. Now the AICNers are hacking and slashing other sites...

Well, Film Threat's been a pain in the ass (and I mean that in a good way) for Hollywood for a good long time. Hardly surprising that the king skeptics are butting heads with the big cheerleader.

What is surprising is how petty this all is. I mean, sure, I'm a jaded film school graduate, but c'mon...we're not talking about the cure for cancer here. AICN and the other "scoopers" are all arguing about who received that carefully leaked bit of guerilla publicity.

Harry never claimed to be objective or flawless. From the start he's just reported movie information and reviewed films from his own unique standpoint. It's laughable that people are now expecting him to aspire to some journalistic integrity. What makes him admirable is precisely the opposite. He doesn't pretend to be anything other than himself. It's what brings me back to his site cuz he's cool. Even Roger Ebert likes him. Those who are dissing him are wasting their time.

So one fanboy faction claims to be cooler than the other. Bring on the lameness!
