Du-blog-ious Achievement Awards Marc Weisblott cannot even keep from slagging himself: “Maintained a personal blog without permalinks, archives, or even dates on the posts, thus preventing the sort of critical scrutiny he performs on others. Barely earned more money at age thirty-one than he did at twenty-one. And – oh, yes – enough of a coward to not be able to compile a Worst Blogs of 2002 list without attaching himself to the end of the list. Or is that just unadulterated self-loathing?”

i have partied with marc weisblott and he fell asleep.
even though it was a halloween loft party filled with sexy women and transvestites and free booze.
then a few days later he fell asleep again at a different party.
the whole time i thought to myself, "no matter what sort of loser you might think this chap is, he writes for the village voice, therefore you are a bigger loser. therefore, he probably isnt a loser at all."

and then he flew back to canada and was able to smoke weed legally.

I really tried, but I could not find anything interesting about this post. Sorry.

I have to agree with John. Just stupid and pointless. Marc Weisblott wouldn't happen to be a friend of yours would he Joe?

I thought centering body text (and lots of it) was a nice touch. Form following function?

Marc seems to be winning the vote with a solid 25% at this moment.

Putting yourself on a worst-blogs list was a postmodern, charmingly-self-effacing touch, I thought.

Or perhaps it was outright wankery. One was anticipating a wider range of opinion. In any event, not every post here is a landslide.

Also, no, Marc isn't a friend of mine. I think we've had tea twice, though.

[...]postmodern, charmingly-self-effacing[...]

Suitable, perhaps, for Metafilter Frontierland, or Metafilter Tomorrowland, but right now we're slapsticking to Metafilter Toontown...
