Live from Ballpoint Stadium, it's Iron Scribe.

Which reminds me of "Prose Bowl," a great short story by Barry Malzberg and Bill Pronzini that was apparently expanded into a novel...

By the same token, there are no tangible benefits to being an Iron Scribe, other than honor, glory, respect, adoration, admiration, hot groupies, and the chance to put "objectively determined to be the world's greatest living writer" on your c.v.

Ah, humility. The mark of true greatness.

You know, I like the overall concept of this site, but I found a few of the entries so far oddly lacking. [Murray Walker voice]It's early days though, with fifteen more Grands Prix left in the season[/Murray]

Yeah, I feel the site design is somewhat lacking, too. Moveable Type is great and all, but chronicling the whole thing in a series of blog entries probably isn't the best format.

(to which the crowd shouts, "Go home, Art-School!!!")
