Friday Flash Fun. Compelling animation, with a wonderful soundtrack. Warning for the light-sensitive - bright, flashing screen.

Okay I just wasted 10 minutes of my life so you don't have to:

Oh my fucking god it never gets any better than what you see in the first ten seconds.

Suggestion: Put the browser window in the background and just enjoy the music.

What Stan said. I kept waiting for it to produce images instead of just words, and wanted to pull the plug sooner, but I liked the offbeat version of "Caravan."

See, thats the problem with you people... young whipersnappers...

If it doesn't have flashy graphics, why pay attention...? Bah!

For those of us with a longer attention span than an onion, it was quite funny...

Wow. Kinetic typography and Jazz in a great story.

This is art. Not visceral, but very imaginative. Scene II was great.

I tell you what, Wow.

Anyone know what the soundtrack is from (Mingus?!). That was great!
posted by wobh at 10:32 AM on February 14, 2003

That does sound like Mingus, and it's definitely Duke on the piano, so it's probably the version of Caravan from Money Jungle -- good album.

Best. Username. Ever.

What kfury said, with the additional observation that this kind of art strikes me as a fine example of the capacity of the wwweb to encourage and distribute truly creative stuff.

Love all of Young-Hae Chang's stuff. I think this is a great piece.

Young-Hae Chang's site, for those new to the work.

I watched the credits and the music is, indeed, Money Jungle. Good call uosuaq.

I keep thinking that I'm going to get bored with Young-Hae Chang, but I never do.

I'll never read the name "Samsung" again without smirking.

This is a repeat!

The 'Search' facility on here sucks. I searched the URL, I searched "Samsung" and nothing came up.

But it's new to me and apparently to plenty of other people too.

Oh well ... :-(

Just marvy. I really enjoyed that, thank you.
