Giving lip. Put your words in the mouths of talking heads. Or dogs, with Scottish accents. Brought to you by the good folks at Bud. Weis. Er. Excellent pronunciation!

good post on 2 counts:

1) wow. can't believe face animation is getting easier to do, and is believable.. to an extent. too bad the Final Fantasy: Spirits Within people didn't see this :)

2) The plugin worked fine in Phoenix! .. auto-d/l'd, installed and ran. The way it should be.... and i'm not used to it.

I can't believe no one's calling this out as a viral marketing gimmick... perhaps we're all too distracted drinking our delicious berry flavored Pepsi?

But it is pretty fucking cool.

The speech simulation is only slightly better than I was hearing a few years ago...but if you get a character to say "Gag me with a spoon" in Valley Girl, it's quite good.

There is no way in Hades I am going to freely give my email address to the marketing juggernaut that is Budweiser.

moonbiter: don't forget, when asked for your email address it is: webmaster@budweiser.com or webmaster@whatever.stupid.site.wants.it.com

So they don't mail you the link to the animation?

Very, very cool. Thanks for sharing this. Let me take this opporunity to say hello.

You're cute, but I couldn't stand to hear that voice all day.

After regaining my composure, I forwarded that to all my friends. That was hilarious.

Man, the site's not working anymore. Just when I had a great clip of Tom Daschle reciting the lyrics to "Damn it feels good to be a gansta..."

I think of Budweiser as good ol' boy bottled water. It's weak as milk but with a bit of a barley tang, so a man can nurse Buds all day long and probably not pilot his truck into a field or wet himself during a job interview. Other people like beer...if this is viral marketing (which I don't think it is) it's probably not worth the effort to oppose it.

Gotta admit, the scottish accent is pretty good... but only if you do an Irvine Welsh style transliteration... otherwise, ees a fookin piece a shite.

after hours of trying to get ee cummings to say "nobody, not even the rain, has such small hands," i began to wonder: is it possible ally sheedy provided the basis for their "valley girl?" the similarity is uncanny.
