BLUEDANIEL: DJ, jazz drummer, animator, and Blair Witch website designer Dan Karcher's webpage, a true gem, is particularly timely right now. Great site design, great Flash/MX, great music. (More inside.)
Blair Witch sucked, Saving Private Ryan sucked, and so does this thread. I want my 5 minutes back.

I don't use Flash and the site prevents you from clicking the back button. That sucks even more then trolling.

I *know* I have flash 6 installed and I can't bypass the silly browsercheck page. I guess BlueDaniel's 'gift' doesn't extend into website creation.

What is this, some kind of weird Newbie Pile-On? WTF?
Next time I'll forgo the word "great" and suggest "You might like this, or you might wish to comment constructively in another thread." Fuckinay.

Does anyone recognize the music from the "special edition"? I can't quite place it and it's driving me nuts.
nice post, shane. thanks

I thought the intro was excellent... But by contrast, it made the "this is your brain on war" bit seem a little cheesy.
And I liked the Insomnia Machine trailers, but they don't give much away, do they? (Or did I just totally not get it?)

I'm with FearTormento — I have Flash installed but can't see the site. Oh well... How about posting a link right to the content, instead of to the splash page?

Um, can't do it. Sorry, nic, everything navigates off the http://www.bluedaniel.com/ url .
Gregoire, I had both the same impressions as you. I thought "Your Brain on War" was funny, but incongruous to the tone set by the intro. Comic relief? And I have very little idea of what Insomnia is about, although I like what I see (and hear).
And mkelley, the "prohibited-back" always strikes me as tacky, too. Maybe Dan will change it.
All, I don't mean to get testy, but I hat pile-ons & "deraillures". I just hope some people enjoy this site as much as I do.

He stole the explosion effect from Flashkit... who knows what else he stole. His work is good, but not particularly wonderful, nor original.

I really didn't mean it as a snark, but I do agree shane...it's tacky to do that. If someone could post a screenshot, I'd love to see it. But nothing will make me install flash.

Shane, honey, when 6 out of 17 comments are yours, mostly defending the post, you need to lay off the post button, m'kay?

LOL! I just found out he made the explosion for Flashkit, along with some tutorials.
(Hope this one more comment doesn't offend thy delicate sensibilities, signal.)
This was a bad time for me to post this, with the war controversy going on. Live and learn.
