By the end, he doesn't half sound like Daffy Duck. [.wav file]

I only wish I felt half as passionate about anything as this guy does about crop circles. Man--the fascinating life this guy must lead.

I take it the caller had some issues with the documentary's conclusions. It's amazing how effective a well stated counter-argument can be. I'll give a B+ for content and an A for delivery.

BTW I thought he sounded like Jack Black.

Don't you just love how disillusionment and inarticulation go hand in hand?

I'm sure if this happens, Bell will be the first one to let you know, in hushed conspiratorial tones.

"...put a F*cking gun to your head right now ..."

Hmmm, I guess he didn't like the show, or MIT.

The guy with the 'helpdesk' file on his page also has a 'screeming_lady' [sic] file ... 'This is war, buddy.'
I once did some work with a call centre and got to listen to some of their tapes; it was a fun job, but nothing as rich as this stuff turned up.

I didn't pick up on that. Was there some problem with the size of the crop circles?

The 'screeming_lady' call came into the Adobe call center run by Keane, Inc in the summer of 1995. As a matter of fact, the call was received by a help desk technician working on the 11th floor of what was then called the Key tower, there on... is it 3rd or 4th?... between Seneca and Spring. The poor tech working the phone hit the record button as soon as the woman started going off, in order to cover himself. His team lead listened to the recording, and forwarded it to everyone else on his team as an example of keeping cool under fire. Of course, those team members then forwarded it to their buddies down on the 10th floor (Windows 95 tech support), and they told two friends, and they told two friends, and so on...

How do I know all this? Because I was there, my friends. For once, a piece of internet lore that I can honestly claim direct knowledge of. Not that anyone will believe me.

eddy, my guess, this fellow felt MIT making their own crop circle did not prove how they are made when the ones you find by the unknown are much bigger. So this guy's conclusion, the size is the key to the mystery.
