My Lawnmower is Better than Yours!

A man riding his lawnmower across the country started off by going in the wrong direction. Brad Hauter has his own lawnmower buisness, and in order to demonstrate how great his mower is, he's riding it from coast to coast. The problem is, he started on the west coast and headed west. Oops. I want to see someone mow their way across the country. Then I would buy the mower.

A mower with 3000 miles on the clock? Sucker!

Nobody in his entourage noticed he was going towards the west coast? I've only spent a weekend in San Francisco and could probably work it out... I love idiots like this. When I was a kid I had a copy of The Book of Heroic Failures by Stephen Pile which was full of similar tales and I couldn't put it down.

"I do not seem to be making much progress," said Hauter, after arriving at Ocean Beach. "I did not make up the itinerary. It was our logistics team."

The article states that he's going to Los Angeles first. Of course there's going to be a little west-going involved.

riding across the country to drum up business for his lawnmower company

Hmm, anybody else think that maybe his business might do better if he spent more time concentrating on running it than driving a lawnmower across the country every couple of years?
