This 'news'... it vibrates? Yes, more than six months after it appeared here on MeFi, New Scientist has just found out about the vibrating broom. I can feel my confidence in them dripping away...

I've just noticed the googleads have linked this to the bible somehow. Is it wrong to bait the adverts? Erectile dysfunction, spam blocking, herbal high and free sex with underage monkeys. That is all...

Good work, twiner, the GooglAds are now totally confused and defaulting to weblog stuff.

even the biggest internet memes are niche phenomena at best. in terms of the man on the street, almost nobody knows anything about "all your base are belong to us" or any of the other things that make us chuckle. the excerpt cited is from the print edition of new scientist, and itself references a business 2.0 item ... so i don't understand how this is grounds for slamming new scientist while patting ourselves on the back. (there are probably valid claims against new scientist's journalistic credibility ... but this ain't one of them.)

Also, does anyone actually know whether or not it does vibrate?

We've been hearing about this for so long that we deserve an answer :-)
