Buddyzoo!

Buddyzoo is an interesting new site that lets you see which buddies on your AIM buddy list your buddies share with you. Sort of like a six degrees of seperation kind of thing. Very neat. Go check it out and sign up! And tell your friends!
I'm guessing you're not on aznblader's "buddy list".

Say what?
It doesn't require an email address, and it's a site just put up last saturday by a caltech student. What's the deal?
Doesn't anyone use AIM here? Or am the only college student here?

I think it's the repeated links and exclamation marks!!! that give it that spam vibe.

Standard operating procedure, aznblader. All posts involving products will receive accusations of Spam! or Viral Marketing! per Mefi code.
(Not that I'm a big fan of AOL.)

So aznblader - it may be a great thing, but in the future refraining from the "tell your friends" schtick would lend some credibility. And yes, I think you are the only college student here.

Well, it would be awfully nifty if Trillian Pro users like myself didn't have to bloody install AIM to use it.

And I was one last year. And I'm gonna be a med student next year. And I use AIM. I'm gonna check it out, aznblader. Don't you worry.

Looks real thought-out too. From the FAQ:
"When was the site started?
It was launched to the public on Saturday."
Are they planning on being live for more than a week?

I saw this link on /. last night, so I tried it. My popularity score was 0, with 518,971 more popular and 138,962 less popular. Somehow that put me in the 21.12th percentile. So I thought I'd try someone who was way more popular. Mathowie returned a popularity score of 2, with a popularity ranking of 27590, and with 27,589 people more popular, 631,363 less popular, which puts him in the 95.81st percentile. It's good to be king!

Your popularity score: 13. This is the number of members who have you on their lists.
Popularity ranking: 785 (percentile: 99.90).
784 people are more popular, 768269 are less popular.
I'm an AIM whore.
