Jesus Christ Racing Team is a Christian Race Team that races the car called the Christmobile
A great way to spread the words of Jesus !
Jesus also hates carbusters and knows that they will burn in hell for their terrorist sins...

Knowing that there is a magazine called Christian Motorsports has altered my worldview considerably.

Christian Motorsports website:
"[Dale Earnhardt] lists his life's priorities as God, family and the No. 3 Monte Carlo, in that order."

Is mortality the link between stock car racing and evangelical Christianity?
The Earnhardt article is dated six days before he died in an accident at Daytona. The article contains numerous references to his accidents and how he uses his faith to keep going. Eerie...

I love the fact that "JESUS CARES" is sponsored by "Big Bobs Barbecue Sauce"...

quonsar, love the monster trucks (especially the Virgin Mary one), but that "Hell Express" ride ... is it some sort of trick?

I personally love threads where I get to make fun of religion!

*boggle8 the site was featured on WWN, and the pics are clearly photoshopped... *sigh*

Christian Motosports seems somewhat redundant.

While Christian Motorsports, on the other hand- Forget it.

Ah, the open minded people of the world still find reasons to hate Christians. Refreshing, isn't it?

If this is Jesus' car and he really cares, why doesn't His car win every race it runs? Perhaps that's evidance that there is a better team out there? Put your faith in Dupont?

But worship Father Satan. So there's that.

This is a refrain I sometimes make around here, but come on philsown, this thread is mostly (if not all) fun and games and most of the posts here a tongue 'n' cheek. Hence, your comment is out of place and what quonsar said.

Can you hate the medium without hating the message? Because I HATE shit like race cars with "Jesus Saves" on the side.

So, is there a Jesus motocross team?

Hells, yeah.

OK, so I can kinda see where people come from using the whole "I take all talent I have and use it to the glory of God," but what about people who have talent at, say, being good in the sack?

Ummm... yeah... this is a joke, isn't it?

Strangely, when the Christmobile is idling, the engine goes, "Buddha buddha buddha."

Another "Let's make fun of Christianity" thread.

I wonder what kind of backlash someone would get for posting a thread that degrades, say, Muslims? Would that get a lot of "hey, cool another Muslim-bashing thread"-esque responses, or would the poster be labeled a small-minded, bigoted, and/or over-patriotic, etc? (No, I'm not implying any of those things about anyone in this thread, put down your flamethrowers :-P)

Another "Let's make fun of Christianity" thread.

Why don't some christians ever address the absurdity that some of their brethren stoop to in order to discredit their religion? I'll never understand this.

Isn't it cheapening of a god to have his name emblazoned on a race car?

Think of the things that have been around forever. Mountains. Planets. Rivers. Glaciers. In other words, the very things that proclaim His glory. His Glory mind you. Not some two bit petrochemical fueled hate mobile. His glory.

You poor, poor souls. VROOOOM anyhow I guess.

Belief in Jesus in this country is an inch deep and a mile wide. I'm left to wonder what's kept you from evaporating already.

silvermask: Maybe it's down to familiarity breeding contempt, but the fusion of crass commercialism and overbearing religiousity seems to be a specialty of US (and Canadian) Christians (and, in an entirely different way, New Agers*). Remember that whole bit in the Bible when Jesus went apeshit, knocking over a bunch of merchandise stands in the temple? Chapter and verse if ya want it. I'm sure he would have been totally cool with it if they were selling Precious Moments figurines or domain squatting, right?

* don't believe me on this one? Head down to your local Crystals 'R Us, organic food coop, etc., and look at the bulletin board full of $4000 meditation weekends. 'Cause enlightenment ain't free, you know.
