Who Is Mary Rosh?
Mary Rosh often spoke sweetly of her days as a student of John's, she gave a glowing Amazon.com review of his book "More Guns, Less Crime," she criticized anyone who questioned John's research or his conclusions, and she attacked other researchers in her ardent defense of Lott's idea that more guns on the streets leads to less crime.
Take that Jayson, you rookie! Let a real man (guffaw) show you how to write cheat!

the effect of blogs on journalism is more than hype.

psht. blogs are written by ordinary everyday people. journalism, on the other hand, is bullshit. real people can smell bullshit a mile away. it's not a triumph of blogging over journalism, it's a triumph of people over bullshit.

um, not to mention, a triumph of common sense over stupidity. any schmuck pretending to be 2 seperate, unrelated people but using the same IP to post as both wouldn't stand up 5 minutes around here, or anywhere there are half-clueful net folk around.

Lott has much to say about the Jayson scandal, and the NYTimes in general. Not just a liar, but a hypocrite, too!

This is a great story for the blogging world, much like the kaycee affair was here. There are a lot of similarities.

Here's the original post by CATO Institute blogger Sanchez that linked a comment IP address to an email address. Although looking at his IP addresses is something I would have thought about tracking down, I'm not surprised he got away with it for years and years before being found out.
