Beer for the Homeless

From crematorium scandals to pimp suits and Ben Curtis in between, the Chattanooga area has it all. Enter our latest wonder: Beer for the Homeless.com. Created by a local Talk Radio DJ or two, the site is a serious attempt (ok, it's kinda tongue-in-cheek) to stop homeless citizens from hassling people for beer money. Well, they made their first delivery last week and have some photos and quote from their "clients".

Good old fashioned 100% American beer. The kind our fathers and grandfathers drank when defending this great country around the world to keep the principles of democracy and freedom of choice strong and alive.

Ok Pabst blue ribbon or the plain brand beer???Is it chilled or room temp? Where is the address to this beer-bust, I look homeless.

A buddy from school took a job in Amsterdam and was roommates with the creator of this site. I know that their site was parody/satire. Don't know about Beer for the Homeless though.

I need to send these folks some money. This sounds like a refreshing change from some of the overly pious attempts at public service I've seen.

Also, I wish the photo gallery was thumbnails with links to full size photos; I'd like to get a better look at the young thing in the halter top and cutoffs.

A few years ago I was going to start a nonprofit in Sacramento called "Wine for the Homeless" but I was talked out of it. Something about mental illness and alcoholism.
