Fantastic idea, and tastefully implemented. I wish the US had a decent newspaper... *cough*

P.S. Who will be the first to complain about the order of the categories? Not sure how they chose to arrange them, but I'm sure there'll be a big stink about the Iraqis being first.

I saw the print version, and the layout was fairly good at giving each group (US, UK and Iraqi, military and civilian) equal dues. If the military deaths get slightly less coverage, it's because other media sources tend, by habit, to give them the lion's share.

And why shouldn't Iraqi civilians come first? Their stories are the ones least told, and they never signed up for war. And since the WMD issue is being swept under the carpet, are we now meant to disregard the lives of those the coalition was 'liberating'?

Yes, the Iraqi civilians are truly innocents in all of this.
Riiight.
I wonder who keeps attacking the troops now the the war is 'over'.
They never signed up for war. Just decades of persecution at the hands of their beloved leader.

Well, by that bit of classy reasoning, those inside the World Trade Center deserved their fate as well. So.

probably the people living in the country the troops are trying to take over.

You know, I would love it if we would just leave, and then watch these people feed on each other like the rats that they are. Then you can all wring your hands in dismay wondering whatever shall we do to stop this misery. Oh boo hoo. Won't someone please think of the children?
Yup we sure fucked these people. I think the best reality show we could have today would be to leave Iraq in its current state, and televise the carnage that ocurrs afterward. I would watch every night, big bowl of popcorn in hand.
As soon as we bleed that place dry of oil, we should bury all our nuclear waste there. At least then it still has a purpose.

Even better, if Saddam or either of his sons survived, maybe these ungrateful sons of bitches would like us to change our minds and help put him back in charge.

I feel like being as facetious as you sometimes a3matrix. Good roll, you had me. Clever as fuck in your "convolutedness".

brilliant deductions all around. it we don't agree that the military is 100% correct in all of it's doings, then clearly we are pro-saddam.

honetly guys, are you new?

Hey dumbass, the military is not 100% right or wrong. They don't make policy decisions. They are a tool. They are the end result of decisions made by politicians.

If I sound pissed it is because of the obtuary linked below. Good friend of mine I was stationed with in the UK.

">My friend Scott

I have said it before, and now I will say it again. We should not have gone into Iraq. We have been involved in the Korean peninsula for 50 years. How long will we be in Iraq and Afghanistan I wonder. And for what? Nothing but a list of obituaries that don't need to be.

so you got my point after all.

And for what? Nothing but a list of obituaries that don't need to be.

let me guess: you're the guy that, when a notable's death is brought up in conversation, you say or think to yourself, "well so-and-so died too but I don't see anyone crying about that. jesus christ I AM ANGRY 24/7 SDFAS"

You lost me there Mcsweetie. I don't follow that comment.
What is SDFAS? That is a new one on me. Not familiar with it.
