Who will heal the rift between France and America? Woody Allen will give it a go. Yet another Hollywood bigwig makes a stab at world affairs/international diplomacy.

Here's hoping someone can heal the wounds...and it may take cultural ambassadors to do it since the government seems to want to play hardball. Apparently things have taken a turn for the worse this week with many usual U.S. Participants snubbing the biannual Paris Air Show. For the first time, not a single U.S. military plane will fly in the public demonstrations. This prompted the French Minister of Defense to accuse Washington of supremicism and waging an economic war.

... he played a neurotic American film director whose movie has been panned in his homeland but hailed as a masterpiece by the French.
Not significant, I am sure.
