The worlds largest mobile camera goes on tour. Shaun Irving has sunk his life savings into creating what may be the worlds largest mobile pin hole camera. His goal: To teach the youth of America that expensive cameras and Photoshop are not necessary to make good photographs. See how it works.
humuhumu: but where would you find the scanner? here? That's a long drive...
Is it really a pinhole camera if it has lenses? Is the projection onto the film linear-ish? Hard to tell from the car picture...

No, he just needs to take a picture with his van of any picture he's taken with his van, and then he can... ummm... oh.

Hey now, you can make perfectly good pancakes at home instead of going to Denny's, too.

See also The Pinhole Van, made out of a cargo truck. (Sadly, the site is down, and it's not clear if the project is still active.)

Ummm... buddy.... gotta buy a frickin' van, customize it, fill it with gas, buy giant rolls of film (which can't be too cheap), developing solutions, insure the van, drive it around, etc...
Hmmm, "expensive cameras", eh?

Ahhhhhh ... but it's not digital ....
A buddy of mine was playing around with our friend's START - an ooold (pre war?) medium format camera. After explaining the controls, he was sent off to play around with it. Instead he brought it back 3 minutes later saying, 'screw this, I can't find the macro button. where's the flower? WHERE'S THE FLOWER?'

... just not by viewing his web site. How can the youth of America judge whether he can make good photos with his van when he only shows one big blurry half-unrolled negative of a car?
