a protest we can all get behind....

As a bunch of Average Americans living from paycheck to paycheck, we feel frustrated that our President is spending more of his time restricting the fundamental rights that our nation is founded on than fixing the economic woes we face. And, as Average Americans, we're doing what any red-blooded patriot would do when things seem their darkest — we're Mooning.

I wouldn't.

Apparently it can get you 20 years.

One thing you can say about this: when the president once again sticks it to the public, these mooners, butts facing the White House make a great target.

I love the design.
The don't-moon-o-meter and the fact that someone has contributed $17.75 makes me giggle.
And this, "Mooning is the most politically potent act of free speech available to us as Average Americans. "

I'm happy now, thanks.

Big deal, W. will see all those buttholes and assume he's looking at a group portrait of the Cabinet.

Damn. Usual lame excuses, etc, etc. Sorry kids.

Ummmm... no. Semantically potent, to be sure, and a high gross out factor to boot, especially if you pick the right moon. Potent? No. Rather a demonstration of impotence, a demonstration that shows you can't do anything else.

I'm hoping that someday the world will get some more clueful activists.

weston: That's the beauty of this site. If you agree, send them a donation. If you don't agree, send them a donation.

Then again perhaps a gesture expressing the powerlessness of ordinary people in the face of an out-of-control extremist Administration is what needs to be seen.

Damn you to the vilest pit of hell elwoodwiles for sullying the MetaGrail!!!!!

RARRRRRRRRRRRRR.

Who's the dork.

Thanks for the post though. I didn't see it when it was posted LAST YEAR. How the hell do you fucking brain surgeons keep track of this shit?

the whole concept is a repost from 1975. With one exciting update -- there's a fortune to be made in ass waxing if this catches on.

Given the fact that the campaign's only amassed $400 ... and considering the site's been around since at least October of last year, I'd say they've really bottomed out.

i got excited until i saw it was a money-grubbing scheme. a grass-roots movement to waggle barnacle-encrusted buttocks in the general direction of washington at some predetermined time, i could get behind. sending money to dorkholes? sorry, no.

*pulls sock out of it*

I just thought this was an amusing joke. I did'nt take the site as a legitimate from of social protest, just a snarking criticism of G Dub and of the people who oppose him. I would'nt think of this as money grubbing, since it is fairly obviously a joke and the donation angle is part of the punchline.

I love the fact that this site has been around for almost a full year, and they have only raised a little over $400. Now granted that is $400 they didn't have to come up with, but seriously, they are only doing this to get money. I would love to see the pictures of this after they get all of their money... Of course at this rate it will be 25 years until they get the money for their trip and well the current president will be out of office.
