Search your TV. TVEyes offers real-time searching of closed captioned television shows, and alerts you through email, IM and wireless messages. The consumer level only provides excerpts, but what a step towards making all sources of information searchable.

Is this legal? Do they have agreements with all the channels they monitor?

Believe it or not, ATi makes a line of video cards that do some things somewhat similar to this...

Hmm, how often is, say, smegma said on television? Or military-industrial complex?

This could be killer data mining regarding trends and what is and what isn't addressed on television.
