Astor Place Rubik's Cube.....for those that have been to Cooper Square in NYC you've surely seen the mysterious cube (scroll down). well, these guys turned that mysterious cube into a Rubik's cube in a prank much like something we've seen on cockeyed.

When I first walked by the cube, Alamo in NYC, I was struck dumb. I grew up outside Ann Arbor, where Alamo's twin, Endover, lives.

Turns out there's one in Miami too!

Anyone seen all three?

It was this summer, suprfli. June, I believe. Which isn't to say it hasn't been done before; that I'm not sure of.

like suprfli i'm having an odd deja vu, it might have been done before. Hilarious prank worth repeating nonetheless. ;)

Nice prank I suppose, but the language, formatting, style -- everything about it -- is so identical to cockeyed.com that I feel like slapping them with a vicarious lawsuit. Can't they do their own sort of thing?

Hooray! The guys at alltooflat have been turning out great pranks for a while now, but this was incredible! Wonderful idea, Superior execution.

I applaud this only because someone needed to do something about the ugly behemoth of "public art" that is the Astor Square Cube of Uselessness.

And blah, leave it to the city to powerwash taped cardboard off of the cube. Cluelessness abounds.
