Images of war in Southeast Europe

WarPhotoLTD.com is a Croatian photography showcase intended to "educate the public in the field of war photography, to expose the myth of war and the intoxication of war, to let people see war as it is, raw, venal, frightening, by focusing on how war inflicts injustices on innocents and combatants alike." Search by Photographer, War, Award or Collection, though the site is obviously new-ish and has a small database. Here's a particularly stunning one from their current collection ("A Decade of War").

Beautiful photos and a great idea but many of the images (that I looked at) were so gorgeous that I think it undermines the goal of demythifying war. On the other hand the images from the Jenin camp at rotten.com were so grotesque that I was shaken by them days later.

Truly outstanding photography. Almost too good... Some looked a little photoshopped to me.

Thank you for the link.

Great stuff. Unfortunately, most people lack the imagination to understand the horror of war until they see their own front porch in flames and the bullet holes in their own family and friends.
