Stories of Krishna: The Adventures of a Hindu God is a lovely interactive Flash presentation from the Seattle Art Museum: Click an image and hear the accompanying tale (or read the transcript), then click "close the story" and mouse over the image icons to explore the characters and view details. After you are finished you can test what you've learned with a drag and drop card game. No broadband? View images of Krishna here and here, and read some background.

Now this is my kind of Friday Flash. More information on Hindu gods here, which has been invaluable in explaining some of the seeming oddities in the Hindu religion

Ah, this is way cool! I wish more museums would do something like this - how incredibly cool to be able to explore the exhibitions like this from home before you go to see the art in person. Great link, taz!

What a great site. It's really awesome that they managed to make the minatures bigger than actual size---those single-haired brush strokes are murder on the eyes!

Very nice! They really shouldn't make the little elephant walk back and forth like that, though...the shooting gallery reflex was almost irresistible.
