Here are some ideas for Thanksgiving dinner, though not a circumstance I'd like to participate in. If ever there was a time to say Grace before dining, this certainly is one of those times. Pumpkin pie anyone?

"Ok Keyser Soze, for being so cool and smart we have to put you to death."

'Oh, no!'

"Oh yes. What would you like before you die?"

'One bag of assorted Jolly Ranchers, please.'

Bluedaniel: this thread by kickerofelves and its unsettling link are also worth reading. The Texas Death Row link has been discussed before in other threads, though I think it was never the main link.

What is it about Texas Death Row specific I wonder, I must be missing something. Is Texas the most ruthless?

None-the-less, a call like that qualifies MiguelCardoso for this. Keeping track and having the intuition of what links where within MeFi must seem overwhelming.

Talking Turkeys

(from 'Talking Turkeys')

"Be nice to yu turkeys dis christmas
Cos' turkeys just wanna hav fun
Turkeys are cool, turkeys are wicked
An every turkey has a Mum.
Be nice to yu turkeys dis christmas,
Don't eat it, keep it alive,
It could be yu mate, an not on your plate
Say, Yo! Turkey I'm on your side."
I got lots of friends who are turkeys
An all of dem fear christmas time,
Dey wanna enjoy it, dey say humans destroyed it
An humans are out of dere mind,
Yeah, I got lots of friends who are turkeys
Dey all hav a right to a life,
Not to be caged up an genetically made up
By any farmer an his wife

Teehee, Daniel. Actually, I was being coy as I included the link in one of my first posts (it's, appropriately, the last) back in 2001. But double-posts are, quite rightly, only reckoned to go back 6 to 12 months. So you're OK. ;)

P.S. I loved your presentation and wording and that's the main thing, surely!

BTW, why do we allow last rites to be given before their executions? Don't we WANT them to go to hell?

Does seem to be rather backwards, no?

That's just about the saddest thing I've ever read on this site.
