Hands off the Internet! Argh. It frustrates me that we can't get "The Powers That Be" to see things this way.

I would have added: "...and as such it is the antithesis of most existing systems, a new evil empire to be loathed and hamstrung wherever possible."Don't think for a second that "the Powers That Be" don't get it. They most certainly DO get it, and UCITA, DMCA and the growing list of "irrational" court and patent decisions is your proof.

Yup; they get it, and it scares the *shit* out of them. Why, I mean, look how much trouble it got China in in the latest Tom Clancy novel...
