"DotTV" to become the 189th member of the United Nations... Logical extension of "international dot-commerce" or sign of the Apocalypse?

.tv TLD abusers aren't catching on like wildfire? From the looks of it they haven't even come close to what some high-profile cybersquatters have madewith just a $70 investment. My favorite is the line that TV isn't about television, but "a significant symbol across all age, language, and cultural barriers — allowing companies in the .tv domain to build truly global brands. " Oh my.

Well, there there do seem to be a handful of registrants, and remember that the names are all at auction, starting at four figures.

Frankly, for an island nation that so far subsisted on the profits from guano ... not bad.

Tuvalu, the country? Smart. dotTV, the company? Maybe not so smart.

Ah, here's a list of "featured" registrants.

I thought a moment, and then checked .... nope, registered.
