Osama bin Laden capture report false "I don't believe it is closer or farther at any given moment," Mr Rumsfeld told reporters about the prospects of catching Osama Bin Laden. Maybe it's because bin Laden's been pulling 18 hour shifts at the Karachi 7-11

So...the breaking news is that there's no breaking news? Gotcha. Let me know as soon as something else doesn't happen.

On further review, what the heck is with that photo?

Gee, thanks for the racial stereotyping!

The point of the post was that obviously someone at the paper's website didn't do their homework before posting that photo with that article.

Holey, moley, the lawn can wait!!! How did that joke photoshoppery get in a Pakistani newspaper?

(My apologies for slagging off the post.)

Can't you guys just wait until October? Sheesh...

Moonbird--the story has a *presumably* doctored photo of Osama Bin Laden wearing a 7-11 uniform.

PakTribune.com appears to be a normal news site, so it's kind of weird to have a "photo" that belongs in a Fark Photoshop thread accompanying the story.

I had the same reaction as you until I clicked on the link.

True. I think they actually caught Saddam at a bowling alley in LA.

I know that bowling alley. They have Sioux City Sarsparilla there.

i wonder if bush hadn't let an entire planeload of bin laden's fly home on sept. 13 2001 without questioning a single one of them ... if we'd be any closer to catching OBL ... ??

i guess the bush administration hadn't dreamed up some of their anti-terror tactics yet.

My pet theory is that they've had Osama in custody for some time and Bush is just going to sit on him until he needs a final push in the election to win again.

Or heck, I wouldn't put it past them to have Disney make an animatronic Osama to parade around for the if-I-saw-it-on-tv-then-it-must-be-true crowd.

I with you, fenriq - I'd bet big bucks that some "American force" has bin Laden cornered somewhere, ready to produce in a "surprise capture" just after Labor Day...
