it also looks like an arrow going into a folder or maybe even a plant sticking out of a folder. stupid.

Hmmmmm. On 256 colors (my server's video card), you can't even see it. Nifty.

I can sometimes see the middle finger thing if I'm not looking directly at it. It's like there's this tiny little module of brain function running in the background that constantly scans my whole visual field looking for someone giving me the finger, and it's sometimes triggered by this. Perhaps some people are born without this finger-scanning part of the visual cortex, but I guess many of us have it. It doesn't usually give false alarms unless it's intentionally deceived, so there's something special about this image.

No. It's definately an arrow going into a folder. Next!

I noticed the middle finger thing too. Though I didn't even consider making a bug report on it.

Some of us just have dirtier minds, I guess.

One of the icons in the sofware that my company makes, is the 'log out' icon, represented by a little man, and a red arrow pointing down. We all refer to it as the 'peeing blood' icon. hopefully none of the customers have noticed.

How many people checked mozilla Bug #123789 just in case?

Oh, just me then...

So what if it is? I'm with you, sfenders. I got picked on in school too, so I saw it, and so what? If you can't handle your browser up-yoursing you every once in a while (you can give your monitor the bird, too -- in fact, I'm doing it right now!), then use the CSS fix they list or wait for the patch.

Oh, fine. Fix it, then, you guys. I just think it's kind of funny.

UI design meets evolutionary psychology.
