This is not only so fake it's not even funny, but the picture is highly disturbing. HOW AM I GOING TO WATCH SESAME STREET WITHOUT BIG BIRD?!?!?!?

this reminds me of the story a few years ago about Bert being offed by a car because people though he and Ernie were acting too homosexual

but this is funnier =)

Spinney has to retire or die sometime; maybe this is a fake, but eventually Big Bird and Oscar will leave the show, unless they can find someone else to take the parts.

Which may be possible. They found a replacement for Kermit. And, by gum, he's not too bad. I wonder if Spinney is working with them to train an understudy now.

Characters have left the show before; but you may not have noticed because they weren't quite as important of ones.

Remember Placido Flamingo? remember the cow (whose name I don't recall)? Both those characters were done by the same puppeteer. He died of AIDS.

I used to have a web link of a page which listed all the members of the troupe, and every character that each had done. It's quite surprising how much range they have. If anyone remembers "Fraggle Rock" they may be surprised to learn that the new Kermit is the same puppeteer who did Wembley.

I remember Fraggle Rock! I loved Fraggle Rock!

That is pretty amazing, the Wembley voice was totally different from Kermit. But I never liked Wembley much. I liked Mokey and Boober. And Red. And Cotterpin!
I can't believe I still remember these kooky names! ^_^
