As long as we're discussing vice-presidential candidates, I thought I'd point out this gem about the Reform Party's offering.

Lord have mercy on these United States if people like that should ever come close to power. Does Pat know about this? She is like George Jefferson turned up to 11.

Christ that lady is scary -- except about the Ritalin thing. That's pretty right on if you ask me.

It sounds like Pat knows about this, and that's why she's on the ticket. She makes him sound almost credible by comparison.

I find her a hoot, because there's no way in h-e-double-hockeysticks she'll win anything, and because she's a kook among kooks.

I'm curious to see what kind of attack ads they puke up on the national TV screens with all that campaign money they've got now.

Wow, this had me laughing my ass off:

"In the hotel, I went to get some copies made," Chuck continues. "And this lady from India says"--he tries an Indian accent--" 'Oh, the copy machine is in there, and it costs 15 cents a copy.' And I said, 'Wait! You gonna charge me 15 cents a copy, and you're gonna tell me to make 'em?' And she said, 'Well, where I come from . . . ' And I said, 'This is America! If you're gonna charge me, you gotta do it!' " He throws his hands up in mock frustration. "They come over here with their habits from their countries."

So it's the East Indians who came up with charging for self-serve photocopies? Quick, somebody tell Kinko's!

I wonder if he says the same thing at gas stations. "You're going to charge me $1.60 a gallon, and I have to pump it? This is America! If you charge me for something, you have to do it for me!"

Funny as it is, I am infuriated. This ridiculous person and former Nixon speechwriter / intolerant yonk Pat Buchanan-- THEY get campaign money, but the Green Party and Nader don't? It's appalling. How did that happen?!

It is appalling, but at least it'll be the other way around for the next election ...

Only if we vote.

Wait, so east indians DIDN'T invent self-serve copies?

My whole world view has crumbled.
