Great link. But what is up with the word "characters"? This ain't Shrek II.

Kavasa - out of curiosity I read about Muktar. It literally sounds too bad to be true and it amazes me that things like that can happen without most people in the world caring or noticing.

In addition to that, all I can do is ask why the journalist couldn't have just taken Muktar with him. He was only 14, had never really felt love in his life, and all he wanted was to hug and hold the journalist's hand.

It kind of reminds me of a story that Wes Clark told on the campaign trail. He was down in Haiti and a man held onto his hand and wouldn't let go because he desperately believed that somehow Wes Clark could take him away from poverty and despair and to a mythic place like America. Muktar makes the story so much sadder though. Thinking about it brings me close to tears.
