Why there are no three-legged animals. A wise person drinks cherry coke not blood of animals. Before there was the time-cube guy, but after there was Archimedes Plutonium, were George Hammond (author of the Scientific Proof of God) and Kurt Stocklmeir (physicist and scholar of slime and lizard bottoms, among many other subjects).

This guy seems like maybe he forgot to take his meds. Some of the responses to his posts are pretty funny, though.

"A wise person drinks cherry coke not blood of animals."

Cherry Coke IS reportedly made of blood of animals, if you consider cochineal beetles as animals. (At least according to this excellent book, which notes that color additive E120 is made from beetle blood. I don't have any Cherry Coke in my house to check if its U.S. formula indeed has E120; this page says Cherry Coke is okay for vegetarians, but adds that Snapple's Orange Tropic and Ruby Red flavors contain extracts of cochineal.)

(Still trying to get through the rest of the post.)

SELF LINK - A while back I made skins of [HAMMOND] and Archie Pu for use in "The Sims".

I've not been able to find a decent picture of Kurt, there's only one that I know of in existence, and it's from the back.

"A person eats an animal", a free form poem by Kurt Stocklmeir

(my sincerest apologies to Kurt Stocklmeir for the liberties I have taken in reformatting his original work)

"A person

eats

an

animal.

Some of the dna and rna does not get destroyed.

It gets absorbed by cells

and becomes part of the cell.

The cell of the person is part animal. It would be fair to say the person is part

animal.

The genes

probably create chemicals like rna that spread through the

body

of the person getting absorbed by a lot of cells.

Those cells

probably

act a lot like they are part

animal.

It is

probably

true most people are part animals.

This may help a little to make the

penis of guys keep

getting more

small.

a girl will say - look at that guy - he is not

nice - he is partly an animal -

his penis keeps

getting more

small"

I'm pretty certain that Archie Pu was the first to come up with the idea of Google-bombing, though he used to call it "search-engine-bombing" if my memory is working right. 'Course back than Google didn't exist and Alta Vista was the first choice for searching.

I had thought Coca Cola contained refined sugar, which is passed through filters made of cattle bone char in the refining process. But this page lists high-fructose corn syrup as the sweetener.

It has been mentioned on MeFi before, but being truly vegan and cruelty free is tough. Rubber is often produced with animal fat in the form of oleic acid. Tires, soles of shoes...

Shane - there's a blood line to every commodity. It fuels capitalism. I've learned to be content with what I can do, without kicking myself over the things I can't yet.

Workers, every commodity you produce is a part of your own death - paraphrased maybe, but movie anyone?

chrid: You may want to add a neon-orange hunters hat to AP. He was very fond of wearing that one around Hanover, NH when I was there.

Absolutely. If you think about it you'll be depressed 24/7, heh. Unless you want to become a Jainist, and even then you'd better live barefoot in a self-made hut in the wilderness...

Shane - then you'd be doing a sort of violence by depriving the community of your nonviolent sensibility.

The only flaw with the poem above is that, no, we are not partly-animal.. we are entirely animal.
