It's new to me. These are hilariously odd. I love it. Thanks, bingo.

Next time I visit my friends in NY, I'm basing the trip around finally seeing an installment of "How to Kick People". Todd Levin and Bob Powers are two funny bastards who would be worth the 8-hour drive. Maybe we could get a MeFi group to go. The only other comparable event for me (other than a visit to the UCB theater which I've already done) would be the Tinkle Booze Cruise and I don't know if that will happen again.

I once ran into Todd Levin in a bar in the East Village. I didn't know who he was, he just happened to be reading a copy of Our Band Could Be Your Life. I told him that it was a pretty good book but that he should read Fargo Rock City as a companion piece/rebuttal. As I described the book, he seemed vaguely unnerved but interested. The girl he was with looked at me as if were something she'd scrape off her shoe.

The subject turned to the internet and I mentioned that I was a blogger, he said he was too, and it turned out we knew some internet people in common.

I read his blog. Sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's just annoying, but that describes any blog I guess.

[pat on back] Well, I'm glad to see they chose my blogger template, Khaki Tuesday, first seen here and now spreading like wildfire. [/pat on back]
