Get ready for President Badnarik

With under four months left to the real election, the Atlas of Presidential Elections is holding a mock election (free registration required to vote), in which Libertarian candidate Michael Badnarik holds a lead over John Kerry and George W. Bush. The real results may be a little bit different in November.

done...it's an interesting site--and I'd never heard of the Personal Choice party (and is that Marilyn Chambers of porn/Ivory Snow fame?) Their polling data page is old tho.

I'm guessing that this poll is a little skewed, as the Libertarian is winning by a landslide.

you can create your own 2004 prediction map there too--my wildly optimistic one : >

Yup, it's that Marilyn.

The predictions page has Kerry up on the median of stuff.

I wouldn't consider 38% a landslide. Just a clever "getting out the vote" ploy.

Kerry's taken the lead if you add the World/Canada totals. By 10 votes.

Jay/Chambers is doing well in Utah. After like 15 votes

It's pretty intresting that Kerry is huge support amoung libertarians, compared to bush.

Could be somewhat harmfull for shurb in november.

although i know next to nothing about this guy, i think a libertarian (or just about any 3rd party*) president would be a huge step forward for the USA. With that said - I would be very reluctant to give my vote to him because of the fear of Bush winning.

Why don't people get to vote for as many canidates as they wish? This would result in the most popular cannidate getting the most votes instead of the most bland cannidate getting the most.

*not because i believe all third parties are great, but because i think the 2 party system is a method of control and needs to be broken
