I-C-U-P. I wonder if you can use it at night?

I dunno. But it would be a hell of a lot of fun to point at it and feign laughter just after you see a tourist walk in there.

Hey, when I gots to go, I couldn't care if this was two way clear. You want to watch me, be my guest.

I wonder what percentage of the customers are using it to whack off instead.

It should be pointed out that you can still look through one-way glass provided you shield off enough of the ambient light. So if someone lacking in manners puts his face to the glass and shields the outside light off with his hands, bye-bye privacy.

It has to be better than using the woods as a restroom and realizing that there is a skunk a few feet away staring at you.

On a related note, I have chigger bites all over my ankles. They itch.

If I thought I was already pee-shy... yeah, not happening.

Now that I have that bargle taking a shit in woods question answered, I'm going to look for pictures of the Pope and see if he really does wear a funny hat.

Now THIS is an example of the quality links for which I come daily to MetaFilter! ;-P

I can't go just thinking about this.

Swiss public toilets have Kleenex and toilet paper rolls that aren't encased in theft-deterrent devices?

How strange.

Is this common, or just a social experiment?

I'm not even sure it's real. It looks very fragile, not to mention photoshopped.

i've seen this before. on a tv show i think. so if i remember correctly, yes its real, no it's not common, i believe its one of a kind

It is real, and it feels very odd to stand inside. It's one of a kind.

As for the public toilets being fitted out with toilet rolls, that is very common here. Swiss people tend to be rather civilised.

I would not only "p" inside it, i would hang out and watch others wonder what the hell they were walking by, too.

Is it legal to have one way glass on a car in the U.S.? ... Or Switzerland?

Is this the same one that was in London last year?

I wonder how many adventurous couples have sex in there.

Is there a fart fan in there? I remember Amsterdam having some pretty wild public urinals.....
posted by Eekacat at 6:38 AM on July 9, 2004

Does it have a sign on it somewhere that tells you it's a restroom,
from the pics it just looks like the monolith from 2001.
(which as far as I know did not feature 'facilities' or free kleenex)
