In Chicago, by the way (despite the police cruisers labeled for Gotham). The car rounds the corner of Wells and Adams in the Loop. Very cool.

Hmm, I think the design could use some work, but I'm hopeful that they'll make it into a workable film in some way or another.

On another note, what's up with the current-model Crown Victorias being used as Gotham Police cars? Isn't this movie supposed to be taking place before all the other Batman movies, even the 1989 Michael Keaton one? How do they explain all the modern cars that will seem to be in it?

I think the "its a movie of a comic" excuse works pretty well :p

Stills.

I think it's pretty badass.

Looks like Mad Max to me.

Not to mention a viral.

I'm sorry that's no batmobile, that's a humvee.

Cool. How can anything be kept secret nowadays, unless you build your own town to film in?

Well, you get some "random" crewmembers to stand on a street corner and "accidentally" release the secret footage to the internet.

No, this is a complete reboot. Think Smallville.

I don't think that's the case here Stan. While the clip will certainly serve as an excellent piece of viral marketing, I really don't think it was choreographed. It's common knowledge here in Chicago that the Batman folks are filming. As we're not often tapped to fill in for Gotham, everyones feeling a bit proud of themselves.

Perhaps that's a bit of an overstatement. I'm feeling proud for Chicago, even though I couldn't care less about the forthcoming movie.

The H3 Hummer is the new Batmobile? I swear I saw some retard driving this around my neighborhood the other day.

Ita cool and all but I'd think Batman would be a bit more environmentally friendly.

Kinda reminded me of a cross between this and a dune buggy.

It looks a good bit like the Batmobile from The Dark Knight Returns, and if they're cribbing from Frank Miller for their Batman stylizations, then this movie has a lot of promise.
