Rate spec spots!

Specs spots are commericals shot by people who hope that they'll be considered for shooting real commercials. Because they are vying for attention, some of them can be pretty outrageous. This site allows you to rank them ala hotornot mode.

My personal favorite pertains to that "make a wish" ritual around blowing out birthday candles.
What are your favorites? (Spots themselves are Quicktime links)

The Ron Jeremy spot for MTV is amusing. A lot of these are great.

I watched about ten and it worked perfectly (some good stuff there) but then I started getting MySql errors--even when I went to try the ones I'd already watched.

Thanks a lot, Jasper--there goes the afternoon. Great find!

(Oh, and you gotta love the top-rated Pizza Guy one. Sorry, I can't get the link to work, but it's on your first link.)

The fact that there's an entire culture of people out there who aspire in their most ambitious dreams to become part of advertising gives me comfort that the universe is expanding, will eventually end.

Nice link, though.

OK,
I watched [World war I] Jim Beam advert and was horrified.
They show the soldier wearing rubber soled boots with cleats. What? No such item in WWI.
