Mr. Keyes, will you introduce me to your friend Dorothy?

The problem with this whole Wizard of Oz thing is, poor Judy Garland doesn't look a thing like Dorothy. Dorothy was a little girl--eight or ten--and cornsilk blond.

boy, isn't jfuller knowledgable about his Wizard of Oz? Do you have anything McGreeveyish to tell us? ; >

Wow. I was expecting just the first couple of bars, but he knew the bridge and everything. Sounds like Mr Keyes missed his calling. In fact, I've got two dollars that says they'll make him sing at the Convention in NYC.

I'll see your two, and raise you a three-dollar bill.

Yes. And No. Talk about your two cultures, here's a pair: people who get their Oz from the movie (together with its, uh, cultural accretions) and those like myself who get their Oz from the books. Never the twain shall meet.

The link doesn't work on my machine under Firefox, Opera, or IE. All I get is a blank page.

OK I got it to work. You have to let the site pop up a window which contains the video... bad bad web design.

no, i allowed pop-ups from the site, then got a message:

Warning - Due to conflicts between Windows Media Player and the Netscape 6 family of browsers,

Netscape 6+ users are unable to play the video on this site at this time.

jeez, i ain't even using Netscape 6. gecko, yes. netscape, no.

damn, i love that wacky Alan Keyes ... i want to see this! i'll have to improvise somehow.

I think he must've been hit by al-Qaeda's gay bomb.

Does anyone else recall him singing on the Tonight Show back when he was running for President in 2000? Maybe the GOP wants to put together another version of the Singing Senators.

Every day, like the rest of the population of Illinois, I wake up and wonder, Well, what's it going to be today? More "Uncle Tom" talk? Busting out into the gay National Anthem? I thought I'd be more annoyed by Keyes' Sisyphean carpetbagging, but I've now concluded that it is, in fact, some kind of absurdist performance art, which quite frankly annoys me, too, but amuses me almost as much as it annoys me, so I end up getting something out of the whole deal... Now I'm just waiting for Keyes to do something really outrageous - show up on David Letterman in white face and curly red wig to dance an Irish jig, perhaps? Team up with Al Sharpton and Revrund Jackson in sparkly dresses and beehive 'do's to sing "Someday We'll Be Together"? Doesn't seem too far fetched, given our current level of political discourse here...
