two t-shirt sites enter, etc. etc.

"Two lifelong friends, always together, everything in common. Except one, political stance. Neither of them could find a decent shirt to wear out depicting their stance on the issues of the day. They searched everywhere. Finally they were fed up. If they couldn’t find it they would make it themselves... So it’s come down to this: liberalhipster.com v. conservativehipster.com."
Hmm. It'd be even more fun if the shirt designs were, oh, I dunno, interesting?

I'm confused by the "Vote W" hipster shirt. It's hard to see how that shirt would be worn other than ironically.

Since conservatism hasn't been fashionable among young people in...forever...how can one be a conservative hipster? A witless t-shirt != automatic hipness.
Also, on preview: what the Cap'n said.

I do like how they have traded in the Donkey and the Elephant for the Tractor and the Elk.

Too bad they specify party affiliation. I can't hang with that. I'd have worn a cute little owl shirt if it just said "liberal".

I'm suddenly reminded of Col Tom Parker. He was selling "I Love Elvis" badges, then realised he could make twice as much money by also offering "I Hate Elvis" badges.

You think I'm going to remain quite while every Peter, Paul and Mary is posting images in this thread?

I like those VOTE t-shirts, but $22?!? It'd be cheaper to D.I.Y., people.

I saw Avril Lavigne on Mucmusic before the Canadian election wearing a t-shirt that that said "Vote" vertically, only the V in "vote" was the v-neck of her shirt. That was pretty awesome. I can't find a picture.
Which is the first time I've ever said that in conjunction anything Avril Lavigne did. (Wouldn't want the Internet to think I like Avril.)
