Operation Truth seeks to educate the American public about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan from the perspective of the soldiers who have experienced them first-hand. It was founded by U.S. Army Reservist Paul Rieckhoff, who gave a Democratic radio address in May.

Is it really non-partisan? I suppose it hasn't been going very long, so it's hard to tell.

I clicked around the site a fair bit and it doesn't look overtly partisan. It seems to be pretty much fact-based accounts of the soldiers and issues affecting them. The stories, however, do reflect badly on the administration.

As long as they know what kind of freedom they're fighting for.

Any organization that questions or criticizes Dear Leader is a terrorist organization.

Just let Paul Rieckhoff try to travel anywhere by air and he'll know the above statement is true. His name is already on the "list."

You know, I always looked at his username as a condemnation of fundamentalists of any sort... which was just so ironic to me, given his usual posting style. I have no idea why I missed the real point of his choice of handles. I guess nofundies would have made more grammatical sense.

bummer. optruth.com isn't responding. is this the beginning of the end of the internet, or just Bushco hackers?

biffa, i heard that story this morning and was floored. welcome to freedom!

"You are brought here because I want to tell you that you never publish the truth. I speak the truth, but you never broadcast what we are."

"You have kidnapped us at gunpoint," said one reporter.

Iraqi police also arrested five members of a Dubai-based television news crew after they reported that US planes had fired missiles within metres of the Imam Ali mausoleum.

WTF? is the new boss the same as the old boss?

I think maybe "Operation Describe What It's Like To Hold A Gun In A Really Dry Place" would be more suitable. Operation Truth is a little ambitious. Theirs is not to reason why.
