Was it something in her head? Singer Laura Branigan dead of a brain anuerysm. Conspiracy theorists note - actress Sunny Johnson, who ice-skated to "Gloria" in the film Flashdance, died of the same ailment in 1984.
Was it something in her head?
Ouch.
Poor taste... you could at least wait for her body to get cold.

I just got an email from someone claiming to know Sunny Johnson that claims she died in an airplane crash and that somehow IMDB has it wrong.

I saw Laura Branigan at a music festival in the early 90s, long after her seeming glory days. Say what you will for her one-hit-wonderfulness, but on stage she was a person who loved performing and loved the people who bothered to listened. So for that rare quality, I'll miss her.

I think the lyric is -actually-:
Was is something that he said?
All the voices in your head

"Gloria." What self-respecting homo who came out in the eighties didn't dance to that one?!
Love the voice and am sad to hear the news...

In related news, my mother suffered a brain aneurysm in 1981 but did not die, and she has been known to eat at Bennigan's and likes sunny days.
So there you have it.

Well...bummer. I'd gotten to see her in Love, Janis and had heard rumors that she was pulling together a torch song album which I would have loved to hear. Also, damn... it freaks me out when something that killed my grandmother kills someone that's only a decade or so older than I am. I'd just as soon not have to consider my own mortality please.

I saw Laura Branigan in concert at a tiny little venue in Cape Cod in the 80s, and have always had a soft spot for her since. Hey, she shook a little girl's hand, and nicely - it worked for me.
I also just hate hearing about brain aneurysms - really creeps me out. :(
