Well it certainly would be nice not to have to deal with idiots responding to whatever they don't agree with by a one-word response ("Newsfilter!").

I say just keep it as it is, but have a News/Polifilter category, and allow the option of filtering the filters through customization.

There already is a politics.metafilter.com. Just put a www in front of metafilter.com
